Glorious Easter Weekend 2019

Good Friday

Easter weekend at HCC was one not to miss.  Paster Karen's Good Friday service took us through the poignant events of that tragic day over two millenia ago by interweaving scripture from the Bible with appropriate hymns to describe the story.  After the service we joined Hayling Churches Together 'Walk of Witness' (for which our own David Morris was safety marsahll) led by the symbolic wooden cross, culminating in URC's 'Easter Story' play followed by hot cross buns and refreshment in their hall.

Easter Sunday

Easter Sunday's Service really reflected the glory of the day.  We were joined by 12 Christians from Pentacostal churches in Wembly who helped us to raise the roof with Worship.  

After the service, the weather provided the perfect afternoon for our 'BBQ & Praise' celebration.  Like both the services, this was very well attended and gave us the opportunity for more worship, led by our own Wendy Adams Evans.  Our friends from London stayed with us and everyone was well-fed.  Thank you to all who attended, contributed and helped.  This was a super event to enjoy and enabled us to celebrate Jesus's resurrection in style.
